TAMALE CENTRAL MP INSPECTS DEV PROJECTS (PAGE 12, OCT 6, 2010)

THE Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Mr Inusah Fuseini, has inspected development projects in his constituency, some of which are sponsored by him.
The MP, who is also the Deputy Minister of Energy, took advantage of Parliament’s recess to inspect the ongoing projects in his constituency.
He inspected work on two three-unit classroom blocks being constructed for Methodist Primary at Chanli, and funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) at the cost of GH¢150,000.
The MP also inspected work on a six-unit classroom block with office, store and urinals, which is also being sponsored by the GETFund at the cost of GH¢150,000 at the Salafia Primary School and a three-unit classroom block at the Ambarriya Islamic Institute with office, store and a four-seater KVIP.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on a three-unit classroom block at Salafia Primary School, which is being built with his share of the Common Fund.
The MP is also undertaking some projects to improve the delivery of healthcare in the constituency. These include the construction of a GH¢67,000 health facility at Moshi Zongo.
“This facility is being funded through my share of NHIS funds. It is my hope that this project would be completed in 12 months,” he told the Daily Graphic.
Mr Fuseini said the health facility would offer primary healthcare to residents in and around Moshi Zongo, who are usually compelled to seek healthcare at tertiary health facilities located far from the area.
He said it was his desire to improve the welfare of the people in his constituency, so that “tomorrow, when I am no longer an MP, there would be signs to show my contribution to the development of the metropolis.”
